About the Role
PURPOSE OF JOB

Working as a key member of our growth and business development directorate, you will manage the development and conversion of project opportunities through the bidding and proposals stages taking an active role in helping our business development team to secure strategic opportunities that drive the continued success of the organisation. As a professional Project Bid Manager, you will be expected to lead bid teams in tendering opportunities of varying sizes and deliver winning, compliant, professionally produced bids within customer defined timeframes.

OPERATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Create bid teams with the relevant experience required to prepare a winning tender proposal or PQQ submission, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process including value proposition, strategy and solution development, commercial considerations and risk management.
* Lead the bid teams to develop cost effective solutions for prospective customers. Ensure appropriate quality assurance is undertaken to produce competitive prices which meet margin expectations to be realised during the delivery phase and ensure that prices obtained from outside suppliers and subcontractors are robust and meet business requirements.
* Ensure timely delivery of high quality tenders, compliant bids which are delivered on time, commercially viable and to specification through implementation of necessary bid procedures, governance and processes.
* Carry out risk tracking and management throughout the bid process and ensure that appropriate mitigation has been undertaken where necessary.
* Contribute to the written proposal both in terms of content and presentation.
* Manage bid budgets from the Go/No Go stage through to contract award.
* Manage an effective handover to the project delivery teams on successful tenders to ensure that all of the knowledge developed through the bid phase is properly and fully communicated to the project teams.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILTIES

* Manage the internal expenditure on tenders within the allocated budgets.
* Challenge bid teams to deliver value for money when arriving at tender prices.

PEOPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Assume line management responsibility for other team members as delegated.
* Encourage and nurture professional relationships with customers, internal staff, external partners and subcontractors.
About You
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

* Proven capability in delivering winning, large multi-disciplinary bids of varying degrees of size and complexity (Essential).
* Demonstrable experience in bid campaign management from opportunity identification through to project delivery.
* Ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects to provide a positive environment for bid teams to work collaboratively (Essential).
* Degree educated (Essential).
* Certified to APMP Foundation/Practitioner Level and/or relevant Project Management qualification (Desirable).
* Excellent attention to detail (essential) and showing passion and enthusiasm in day-to-day duties (Essential).
* Strong written English Language skills for writing responses and editing text (Essential).
* Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to influence at senior levels (Essential).
* Ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines (Essential).
* Strong people and time management skills (Essential).
* Commercial astuteness (Essential).
* Advanced MS Word Skills and proficient in MS Office (Essential).
* Graphic design software experience (Desirable).

    Payroll and Benefits Officer

    We have created a brand new role within our HR Team and are actively recruiting for a Payroll and Benefits Officer to be based at our headquarters in York. 

    Responsible for the day to day preparation, calculating and processing of the monthly payroll for all TSP Projects employees and administer Company Benefits, whilst maintaining compliance with UK Tax and Payroll legislation.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Using the in-house HRIS and Payroll system, ensure the Monthly payroll is processed timely and accurately

    • Deal with all payroll related queries

    • Provide reports to the HRD, HR Business Partners and Senior Management Team as required

    • Communicate with the HR Team to ensure all required information is accessible

    • Maintenance of all payroll data

    • Manage the work flow between the internal Payroll System and third-party providers within the required timeframe

    • Update the system with any legislative and other pay related updates

    • Complete Payroll checks to ensure errors are kept to a minimum

    • Calculate any required adjustments to normal pay

    • Process absence calculations

    • Process BACS Payments

    • Manage the Month end close and GL Postings

    • Pension administration including auto enrolment pension scheme

    • PAYE & NI reconciliation

    • Ensure compliance with HMRC and current Legislation

    • Process statutory notifications & statutory payments

    • Manage the Payroll inbox and respond to queries

    • Manage the collation and submission of Annual calendar events including End of Year P60, P35 and P11D collation

    • Process benefits administration, including Private Medical, Company Cars and Pension.

    • Ensure payslips are correctly created and uploaded onto the online platform

    • Carry out audits to verify internal payroll control system to guarantee accuracy of data

    • Carry out ad-hoc duties as required to support the HR Function

    • Document the Payroll standard operating procedures
