    We now have opportunities for 2 Principal Engineers in our Structures (Buildings) department – which come with flexible working and a range of benefits. As Principal Engineer, you will lead the engineering of project teams from concept studies through to detailed design. In addition, you must liaise internally with other disciplines, Project Engineers and with clients’ Design Managers to ensure the smooth delivery of all projects.
    The duties of a Principal Structural Engineer include:
    • Engineering design and coordination of projects in accordance with clients’ requirements and internal procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff, and others
    • Develop and produce engineering solutions and provide technical support on major railway infrastructure, heavy industrial and energy projects
    • Manage and report project delivery programmes and budgets to current engineering and safety standards
    • Manage and check designs produced by junior staff. Undertake independent design checking carried out by other sections/offices as required
    • Support the business in pursuing new work opportunities and securing repeat work with existing clients work with timely delivery and quality of deliverables
    • Manage and develop staff both on a daily basis and through the appraisal process in order to ensure the required skills are available within the department to meet business objectives

    Rail Civil / Structural Engineer Ref: 409


    A unique opportunity has arisen to join TSP Projects’ Modular Platform Design and Build team within their Rail division.

    The role entails undertaking structural design using TSP Projects’ galvanised steel Modular Platform System, producing design drawings, fabrication drawings, reports and calculations to the satisfaction of TSP Projects’ Contractors Responsible Engineer and Network Rail.

    The role will require liaising, co-ordinating and innovating with TSP Projects’ in-house construction team to ensure successful implementation of the designs on site.

    As lead Designer there is excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the whole project life cycle including tendering and contracts, feasibility design, detailed design, fabrication, construction and production of as built health and safety files.

    Assistant System Safety Assurance Engineer Ref: 443


    We are looking to appoint to the newly created position of Assistant System Safety Assurance Engineer based York. This post  will be centred within the Systems Safety & Assurance Team to ensure and assist the team in the promotion and assurance of System Safety throughout all of TSP Projects’ and client projects. This role will make a real difference providing assistance to our internal and external clients around internal compliance, inspection and training.

    Reporting to the Systems Safety Assurance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
    • Working with the Safety Assurance Manager and team to develop personal skills and increase level of competence in System Safety both within and external to the Rail environment

    • Assist the Systems Safety & Assurance Team in the carrying out of system safety related training packages both internal and external to the company

    • Assist the Systems Safety & Assurance Team in the Undertaking of regular monitoring and inspection of company projects to report on levels of compliance and identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement

    • Assist the Systems Safety & Assurance Team in the Promotion of effective Design Risk Management throughout the company

    • Assist the Systems Safety & Assurance Team in the facilitation of Hazard Identification, Hazard Review and Hazardous Operations Workshops

    • Provide assistance to the company with regards business development and continual improvement through collaboratively working with other disciplines to enhance TSP Projects’ service delivery and processes.

    • Assist the Systems Safety & Assurance Team in the working with TSP Projects and Client Projects to ensure compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, the Common Safety Method 2012 and the Railway Interoperability Regulations through active monitoring and audit
