     Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a rail-biased Senior Project Engineer to be responsible for a variety of projects being delivered from our York office.  Your role will be to manage all the technical and assurance activities to ensure project accuracy, quality, safety and compliance.  Engineering coordination and integration is core to the Senior Project Engineer's day-to-day running of the project, and you should be comfortable working and delivering in a multi-discipline alliance environment.

     

    You will take responsibility for the management of multi-discipline design teams, delivering designs to programme, monitoring and reviewing deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and legislation, with input into organising and prioritising workload within a schedule.

     
    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    • Responsible for developing and delivering project-wide multi-disciplinary design for infrastructure projects
    • Required to integrate line-of-route railway infrastructure and systems with other packages of work throughout the project or programme
    • Work closely with individual discipline CREs from within the business and a variety of different design houses
    • Attention to detail and good technical report writing, communication/ presentation and inter-personal skills

    Senior CAD Technician - Bridges. Ref 478 York

    York

    We are currently seeking an experienced Senior CAD Technician to join our Bridges Engineering team here at TSP Projects based in our York offices, to take a lead responsibility for the production of bridge drawings and models in a variety of software platforms. This will include production of detailed steelwork repair, strengthening or replacement drawings, and experience with reinforced concrete detailing would be advantageous. The role will also involve the development and mentoring of junior CAD staff and ideally you will be a Technician who really understands the engineering process and can bridge the gap between process and delivery.

     

    OPERATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Production of models and drawings in accordance with both TSP Projects and various client CAD standards

    • Production of detailed construction drawings for new build and refurbishment of steel and concrete bridge structures

    • Supervision and mentoring of junior CAD staff in both the use of software and arrangement of drawings

    • Maintain a knowledge of products and designs relevant to your work and apply it in a range of situations.

    • Deliver a portfolio of projects to the required quality, time and budget, showing self checking, with minimum input by others.

    • Have a positive attitude towards checking and quality. Monitor project and team performance against CAD standards and quality requirements, taking necessary corrective action.

    • Plan and prioritise tasks effectively for yourself and other team members with minimal input by others, reporting back on progress and delivering on commitments you have made.
